Allison Wedin
Allison Wedin is the Involuntary Treatment Administrator for the Washington State Health Care Authority involved in policy development and implementation. She has a background in behavioral health both as a Designated Crisis Responder as well as management of crisis services and programs.

Amy Burns, MD is thrilled to be the ambulatory associate program director for Spokane Psychiatry Residency. She has partnered with Dr. Parent and WSU to implement a successful Contingency Management program for patients with methamphetamine use disorder at the Spokane Teaching Health Clinic.

Ann Marie Roepke
Ann Marie Roepke, Ph.D., (she/her) is a clinical psychologist, trainer, and consultant. Her areas of expertise include the impact of trauma (both post-traumatic stress and post-traumatic growth), resilience, communication, CBT, and motivational interviewing. Dr. Roepke earned her doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania.

I have worked within Native Communities for many years. Living and working in the villages in Northern Alaska as a counselor and licensing foster homes, to working for Tulalip Tribes as a social worker and collaborating with other Tribes in the state.

Benjamin Buck
Dr. Benjamin Buck is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the BRITE Center in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington. He leads a program of research focused on using digital health to improve early intervention for psychosis.

Casey Jackson
Casey Jackson is an international expert on interpersonal communication. With 33 years working in behavioral health, he's trained Motivational Interviewing since 2002, and been in the international Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) since 2008.

Craig Jacobsom
Craig is the Program Administrator for the Forensic PATH program with the HCA--Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery. Craig has over a decade’s worth of experience in Homeless and Housing Services. His current role is overseeing the Forensic PATH program.

Darren Paschke
Darren Paschke is currently the Supported Employment Program Manager/IPS Trainer for Western Washington, with the Health Care Authority. This role has provided the opportunity to deliver technical assistance, support, and training to agencies on the Individual Placement & Support model of supported employment services.

Dawn Miller
Dawn Miller is a passionate advocate for behavioral health recovery. Her experience includes supervising a supported employment program in a community mental health center for 21 years. She worked in vocational and residential programs providing services to people with a wide range of challenges.

Dawn Pullin
Dawn Pullin began her role in December of 2020 as Eastern Washington tribal liaison for the Washington State Patrol. Pullin has worked for a variety of tribal organizations and has over 20-years of experience working in her tribal community.

Denna Vandersloot
Denna Vandersloot, M.Ed. is the Co-Director of the Northwest Addiction Technology Transfer Center. She has provided DDCAT assessments and coaching to dozens of providers in Washington and Oregon. Her areas of expertise include Motivational Interviewing, Integrated Treatment, SBIRT, and NIATx process improvement.

Donna Beegle grew up in generational poverty and left school at 15. At 25—with two children, no husband, and few job skills—she gained the confidence to get a GED, then a doctorate. These experiences give her an authentic voice to train nationally/internationally.

Evelyn Dreyer
I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I also have a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology. I review medications and make suggestions for treatment, work with the team to address complex behavioral and psychiatric issues and prescribe medications on an interim basis.

I am a LMHC, SUDP, MHP, MAC who was an agency clinical Director and provided mental health and substance use disorder treatment services prior to beginning my regulatory review duties with Washington State in 2013. Currently i work for DOH as a behavioral health reviewer.

Hannah C. Walsh, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Office of Forensic Mental Health Services. She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Texas and completed her predoctoral internship at Western State Hospital.

Janie Gullickson
Janie is passionate about social justice issues with a focus on mental health and addiction recovery, peer programs and services and advocacy in these realms. Janie was one of 3 chief petitioners of Oregon’s Ballot Measure 110 which was overwhelmingly supported by Oregon voters last November.

Jeffery has been training and consulting in COD since 2013 and CBTp since 2016. He is also currently providing psychotherapy in private practice, specializing in addictions and psychosis.

Dr. Jack Turban
Dr. Jack Turban is a child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he researches the mental health of transgender and gender diverse youth. He is co-editor of the textbook Pediatric Gender Identity: Gender-affirming Care for Transgender and Gender Diverse Youth.

Judy Holman
I have over 30 years in the field as a counselor for behavioral health. Much of my experience has been in administration and responsible for the oversight of regulation.

Julia O'Conner
Julia O’Connor, MSW is the Health & Social Policy Advisor at the WTB, where she manages the agency’s health workforce policy portfolios. She leads the state’s ongoing behavioral health workforce policy efforts.

Julie Tomaro
Julie Tomaro is a facilities program manager for behavioral health facilities at DOH, providing technical assistance and leading policy work. She works with other state agencies including HCA, Department of Commerce, and DSHS to improve access and delivery of safe and effective behavioral health care.

Justin Tauscher is a licensed mental health counselor and postdoctoral associate at University of Washington’s Behavioral Research in Technology Center. He has over a decade of experience as a clinician and educator while researching development, implementation, and dissemination of technology-based interventions for behavioral healthcare.

Kate Bitney
Kate Bitney brings over 18 years of experience working in the arenas of homeless services and community health. She has extensive experience in direct service, with over a decade working with vulnerable and chronically homeless populations through street outreach, case management, community centers, and shelters.

Kate is the Enhanced Peer Services Program Administrator with the HCA/DBHR. Prior to this Kate worked as a Clinical Director for a peer-run agency for 6 years and in a dual appointment for UCLA/the VA; conducting research to encourage the utilization of peer support.

Kathryn Akeah
Kathryn (Yakama/Diné, she/her) has 18 years of experience social justice, anti-racism and healing from historical trauma work in fields such as public health, small business support, labor, and the justice system. Her work with AIHC focuses on Medicaid Transformation and Tribal Behavioral Health Systems.

Keith Lewis
Working with Health Care Authority as a Trueblood Administrator overseeing crisis diversion prearrest, diversion, and increased capacity. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Supervisor, Keith has worked in the behavioral health field for over 30 years as both a clinician and administrator.

Kira Mauseth
Dr. Kira Mauseth is a clinical psychologist who consults extensively in disaster response and recovery in the US and abroad, teaches as a senior instructor at Seattle University, serves as the co-lead for the behavioral health strike team for the WA State Dept. of Health.

Kira Scneider
Kira received her Master of Public Health from the University of Edinburgh in 2015 and her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of San Francisco in 2011. In 2019 she became HCA's Recovery Residence Program Manager and in 2021 became a Certified Peer Counselor.

Lesley Steinman
Lesley Steinman, PhDc, MSW, MPH is a Research Scientist at the UW Health Promotion Research Center, a CDC-funded community-academic partnership. For 20 years she has partnered with older adults, providers and policymakers to improve access to evidence-based interventions for older adult health and happiness.

Lucilla Mendoza, MSW, is from the Pacific Northwest and is second generation Mexican American with family history of migrant farm workers residing in Washington, Oregon and Texas. Lucilla works with the Washington State Health Care Authority OTA.

Malinda Greenwood
She has over 20 years of experience of working in Substance Use, Director of SUD and Supportive Employment. In 2018, she began Supported Employment services at Cascade, incorporating both Mental Health and Substance Use in the referral process.

Mark Clark
I have struggled with mental illness and addiction all my life. I got into recovery in 2016 and just celebrated 5 years in recovery. I am here to share my experience, hope, and strength to help others.

Mathew Roosa a consultant who provides training, coaching, technical assistance and planning support . Focusing on implementation and quality improvement in behavioral health and related sectors, Mr. Roosa’s experience includes psychotherapy practice, teaching, agency administration, and governmental planning.

Matt Mazur-Hart
Matt Mazur-Hart works at the Washington State Department of Commerce on the Behavioral Health Facilities (BHF) team. The team awards grants to behavioral health organizations to build new or expanded community-based behavioral health treatment facilities.

Matthew has experience working inpatient and outpatient in his 8 years of clinical experience. He moved to HCA and has been working on projects related to the Governor's plan and Washington Listens among others.

Maureen Bailey is the Recovery Support Services Supervisor for the HCA Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery, formerly the Peer Support Program Administrator. She is a person with lived experience in behavioral health recovery and a Certified Peer Counselor.

Melodie Pazolt
Ms. Melodie Pazolt has over 35 years experience in community rehabilitation with both people with behavioral health issues and people with developmental disabilities. Ms. Pazolt is currently the Recovery Support Services Section Manager for the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery within HCA.

Melody McKee is the Program Director for the BHI's Training, Workforce and Policy Innovation Center. She has worked in the behavioral health field for 17 years and is engaged in multiple efforts to related to workforce development and improving access to the field.

I am a LMHC with over 12 years or experience. I have worked in outpatient, inpatient, and jail settings. Before becoming a trainer I was a Team lead/supervisor for PACT team. Most of my background is working with psychosis, including those with co-occurring disorders.

Monica Reeves has worked for the State of Washington for the past 24 years, with emphasis on work in behavioral health treatment, transition and reentry of specialized populations that include juvenile offenders, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and high risk adults with behavioral health disorders.

Nadejda Bespalova
Nadejda Bespalova is a perinatal and addiction psychiatrist at the University of Washington. She works at multiple UW clinics, including the Maternal Infant Care Clinic. Her clinical interest is improving recognition and treatment of substance use disorders in the perinatal population.

Pat Tucker
Patricia Tucker, M.B.A., M.A. is an experienced trainer and TA provider at AHP with special expertise in supportive housing, supported employment, Peer Specialist, supervision in a community setting and other issues affecting people with behavioral health.

Patricia Hernandez
Patricia has over 10 year of experience the social work profession. Patricia has experience providing clinical services and therapy to clients in inpatient, outpatient, and supportive housing settings. Patricia graduated with a Master of Social Work from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work.

Paul Nagle-McNaughton
Paul Nagle-McNaughton completed his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and received his master’s degree in Organization Development. He is currently a Senior Director for Quality Improvement with Comprehensive Healthcare in Yakima, Washington.

Paul Phares
Paul Phares has worked in behavioral health for 19 years and is a Director at Robert Young Center in the Iowa/ Illinois region. He is a Certified Illinois IPS Fidelity Reviewer. Mr. Phares provides training and technical assistance with Public Consulting Group.

Samantha Tippery received her MSW from EWU and has been serving Washington’s most vulnerable populations for over 18 years. She brought those skills to ALTSA to provide program management for Governor’s Opportunity for Supportive Housing (GOSH) services across eastern and central Washington.

Sara Parent
Sara Parent received is a Scientific Assistant for The PRISM Collaborative at Washington State University. She oversees a Contingency Management (CM) study for people with SMI and has contributed to the development and dissemination of CM training materials, fidelity measures, and instructional workshops.

Tana Russell
Tana Russell holds certifications as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), Washington State Certified Gambling Counselor II (WSCGC-II), and Nationally Certified Tobacco Treatment Provider (NCTTP). She is currently Assistant Director at the Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling.
Tony Walton
Tony Walton is currently a Senior Project Manager where he oversees implementation of the behavioral health responses funded through Engrossed Senate Bill 5476. Prior to working at the Washington State Health Care Authority, Tony worked in the criminal legal system for over a decade.

Vicki Lowe, Executive Director for American Indian Health Commission, is a descendant of both the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe and Bella Coola First Nations. Ms. Lowe has 25 years experience in the Indian Health Delivery System.
